Hi everyone,

I’m thrilled to join this community! My name is Tom or ssrcobra, and I’m currently preparing for walking the Camino de Santiago in September 2025. This journey has been on my mind for a while, and now that I’ve set a date, the excitement is real.

A little about me:

• I’m passionate about my faith then also pickleball and fishing.
• This will be my first pilgrimage of this scale.
• I’m particularly drawn to the history of my faith, culture, and reflective nature of the Camino experience.

Between now and 2025, I plan to gradually build my endurance, research routes (I’m leaning toward the Costal route from Proto), and learn from seasoned pilgrims like you. I’d love to hear your tips on preparation, gear, or any must-see spots along the way.

Looking forward to connecting with all of you and sharing the journey as it unfolds!

I live on the west coast of Florida and fish regularly in the Gulf of Mexico and the 10,000 island. In shore we catch Trout, Red fish, Snook. Off shore Lots of variety but Snapper is my favorite eating fish

I worked on fishing boats and canneries in Alaska. Fish and I parted ways after that... hahahahahaha.

Excellent. It was a genuine question. When not on Camino I spend my time in pursuit of wild brown trout on the rivers of the north west of England.
