In addition to walking the Camino Frances from Ponferrada to Santiago de Compostela, we will also be in Germany and Italy.

Are there Sim Cards that can be purchased and used in all these places? If so, what company sells them and where can I purchase one?

Thank you.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
Everything that I've read about this said the card will work throughout the EU. I can definitely say my Spanish SIM worked in France.

What may be a problem is topping up your minutes when in a different country. Some cards can be through a website. You could also buy a new SIM in a new country when your Spanish minutes run out but then you will have to change your phone number. Some don't consider this a problem, others don't want to inconvenience folks back home that may want to call you.

Question: Do you absolutely need phone capabilities? If not planning to call anyone, and can email over texting, skip the SIM card and look for free wifi or wifi in albergues. Some do have it. I did buy one on my last trip but it never worked. And in our case, who is walking back to get a replacement / refund?

I bought a coda phone SIM card in Barcelona and headed off to SJPDP in 2018.
It showed no life til I crossed the border back into Spain, then worked perfectly (til I forgot to top it up🙄)
Buen Camino

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
….. bought a Vodaphone (not coda) phone SIM card in Barcelona ….
(I should put my glasses on🙄)
