I'm a professional travel writer who created a guidebook to the
Vía de la Plata in app form for iPhones, iPads and Droids. The app
guide has +400 entries and nearly 4,000 photos covering the trail segments, tricky spots, towns along the routes, points of interest, restaurants and lodging. There are also maps that are scrollable offline. In 2013, Vía de la Plata won 3rd place for Best Travel App in the Society of American Travel Writers - Central States' annual writing competition.

I am leaving for Sevilla in 3 weeks. I have the Kelly guide book. However, I will also bring my smart phone (Motorola) to skype using wi-fi. I would like to download this app. I do have a question. Is this app useful if I do NOT have access to wi-fi? I would most likely need directions and informaiton while walking, not in town near a cafe with wi-fi : ) Thanks and buen camino. -Hieu

I am on the Via de la Plata and can´t seem to post to this forum using my galaxy fame (small smart phone) or download this app, all other services seem to work fine, but I would love to update some of the accommodation advice or just give advice, tell you all whats going on here? I am on a computer in an Alberque in Fuente De Cantos, an entire story in itself, and would like to tell others as I am not back till 13th may. Ivar you might move this to a "live from" if that can make things easier for people to find.
