Porto to Santiago Easter
Hello
We are planning to be in Porto on Thurs 14th April, and would like to explore Porto on Good Friday. Would shops and restaurants be open on the Friday and would we be able to enjoy exploring easily? Are supermarkets open on the following days (Sat, Sun & Mon (Easter weekend)) We are heading to our first refugio on the Saturday.
We will need to get hold of a gas bottle. Are there hiking shops open on the Good Friday?

Thank You!

Rowie :)

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

As far as I know shops are open on Good Friday ( Sexta-feira Santa or sexta-feira do Paixão in Portuguese) Banks are closed. Restaurants are open also in the next days.
Depending on what kind of gas you need. From my own experience it is hardly impossible to find campinggaz for example.some bigger supermarkets sell the small tanks.A big store that sells gas is Decathlon Porto.
there is a Decathlon in the center in the Boa Vista area and one I know in Mathosinhas nearby a shoppingcenter. It was off the caminho route.

How about Easter Sunday? Will restaraunts and stores be open, or do we need to stock up the day before?
