Leave the nets of your sorrows to sink beneath unsettled wave..there are enough to go around without laboring to get more
Lay down your heavy sacks and leave them be..their will always be more to carry
Along the Way..carry no baggage..its easy to bring burdens along..or find excuses to pick up others to replace the ones you have
Light your lantern and trim your wicks well..for it is into the unknown we walk
Worry not for needs..they will be met well
Tighten up your goes...flapping cloaks make for slow and tiresome travel..pull your hat firm..to keep the winds of change at bay
Empty all your promises
They mean nothing out here...some you can't keep
Some are burden like a stone to the soul and make your tread heavy
Some..were never meant to utter..
Futility, grasping at broken wood...rotted at sea and unable to save you
Set them free
You've two feet, two hands and a steady gate...to keep the wolves at bay
And to make it through the day
Which
Is sufficient to itself.
Set down your burdens Pilgrim
I will lead your heart..the engine of your knees.
Set your step west
I will do the rest
You will pass this test
At nite into that nest..where empty clouds are your only dreams
And when enough days have past
You will find....
Your not running away from what you leave behind
You will learn that its your shadow there stepping in time
Its that you learn to live with yourself
Acceptance and forgiveness in exchange for the willingness to step into the Way.
Off you go Pilgrim
