I read in the paper today that this summer is expected to be the driest since 1978 in Santiago.

... so leave the raingear at home... :-) ... well, maybe not, Galicia is know for its fast changing weather.

Greetings from a sunny and a comfortable 28c Santiago,
Ivar

My team enjoyed a little bit of rain and overcast weather in Galicia last week - certainly preferable to the heatwave London was experiencing! Perhaps the best compromise light waterproofs? :)

I understand that Spain as a whole is hurting for lack of rain through - even more so than SE England. If it rains on your camino, don't let it dampen your spirit; it's much needed by the country.

Poste Restante in Santiago

Dear Ivar

Two weeks ago I completed my most amazing Pilgrimage. Many thanks to this website and to you, and scores of others who daily offer sterling advice.

I arrived in Santiago on Saturday, July 23rd , and could not collect my boxes that I had sent from Pamplona and Burgos, since the Correos was already closed. I could not wait untill Monday since I had to get back to work.

I visited the Correos website a few days ago and I did make a similar enqiry, but they have not replied. Do you know if there is any way that they could forward my things to me? I am(obviouly) prepared to pay for the postage.

Thanks again for your contribution to the website.

Blessings
