Freescot, in my experience, the church office was not open during normal office hours, even though those hours are posted. It was open only for a few minutes after the morning mass, which was around 11 or 12, I believe.

You can also get a credencial in the Cathedral or at the Amigos' office. Info here: http://www.demadridalcamino.org/credencial

Thanks for this correction. I must have been lucky: I just walked in and got mine right away. But, yes, I think it was after Mass on a weekday.
 
...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
