Walking from Siena (Italy) to Santiago
Hey guys, we are walking to Santiago and when we get there we might have to see a doctor in Santiago. Does anyone have advice? Should we go to the hospital. A GP (general practitioner) should be fine. What is the cheapest and easiest? It would be great if they can speak English. Thanks

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
There’s a Centro de Salud about 100m away from the pilgrim office in Santiago. Also some good private hospitals. Personally I’d start at a big pharmacy and ask there.

If you have travel insurance, it might pay to check with the provider whether they have a preferred practitioner, and they can also let you know if they have specific requirements for any claim you might wish to make later. Insurers normally have 24 hour contact number for this purpose.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I second Tom on HM Rosaleda. I went in August for Urinary Tract pain. I was assigned an interpreter who led me around and made sure I knew what was happening. I was there for a few hours, had labs, saw a doctor, got a prescription. Very nice interpreter, system was quite efficient. I was given my bill right there (~250€) and paid with my credit card. I have Allianz travel insurance and they reimbursed me.
