Does anyone know the walking distance between San Juan de la Pena monastery and Santa Cilia? Is it easy to find your way from the monastery to Santa Celia?

Thanks in advance! Burn Camino!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

The path to walk is well indicated, but very steep at places and therefore tough on the knees until Santa Cruz de la Serós. Approx. 500 mtrs. downhill over a distance of 4 km. Breathtaking views!
From Santa Cruz, only 200 mtrs. outside the village (watch carefully) to the left, take the path which leads to Binacua. It's about 6 km. Then take the asphalted road until the main Jaca-Pamplona road. Turn left and it's another 4 to 5 kms walk bordering the main road to Santa Cilia.
The alternative from the Monastery to Santa Cruz de la Serós is along the main road. It's longer to walk, but the timing about the same as over the mountain trail.

I walked it last Spring. It was steep and Rocky but doable. We then took the main road down from the village. Easy walk. No traffic to speak of. Beautiful views!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
