Hi, Waka,
Just to clarify, are you talking about the route that goes Lisbon-Coimbra-Viseu-Chaves-Verin and on to Santiago? That's the "Caminho Portugues Interior," but my understanding is that there is a part of that route, between Coimbra and Santa Comba de Dao, that is not yet marked.
Or by interior do you mean "non coastal"? That would be the more common Lisbon-Porto-Tui-Santiago route, and estimates place the distance at about 610 km. Bom caminho, Laurie

Thanks for the info, trust me not to make myself clear. Yes, I was talking about the non coastal route. Brierley has this down into 23 stages.
@amorfati1 thanks for the information, when I did the CF last month some pilgrims had the CSJ guides, and I'd say everyone found them very good.
Hi. I did the Costal from Oporto and it was wonderful. Fewer than 500 did it in 2014 on a few nights I had the municipal hostel to myself !! If you want an uncomplicated time it's a great adventure still and the way in very well marked@peregrina2000 Thank you for the links, I can see that it'll make interesting reading.
