Detailed Stage Planning — Camino de Levante - Camí de Llevant

Thanks for the information! It does help.

It sounds like there isn't a bad option here (which is usually the case for any Camino ).

Also, it just clicked in my head that as I'm planning on then staying in Cebreros, I'd have a bit of time the following morning in San Martín if needed for further exploration.

Would it be better to stay in Escalona or Almorox?
. Thankyou for transporting me (via memories ) back to this section.
I recently (late Mar/apr this yr) walked parts earlier on the Levante. But in Mar 2020 I started from Toledo., so I’ve just scrolled through all my pics from the stages you are talking about. So lovely.
At that time I stayed in the Albergue in the schoolhouse in Escalona …. It was more than adequate but it is a wee way out of the centre and I walked back to the centre to eat. I like the sound of the accommodation in the centre (if your budget can support it ). Wandering around the centre in the evening with the castle (lit up from memory ?). was lovely.

The terrain between escalona and almorox is very pretty / I loved it. Quite a steep walk down into s. Martin de Valdeiglesias though.
Sorry ., not answering your question @setmeravelles
- I just enjoyed reliving this walk.

@OzAnnie I'm glad I could bring back good memories for you, and that makes me hopeful this will be another special Camino! I read your account of the Levante at the start of Covid (and when you went back in 2021 I believe to finish it) as I was trying to decide which Camino (I was torn between La Lana, Sant Jaume/Catalán/Castellano Aragonés combo, Madrid, and Levante for the fall), so thank you for that.

At the moment I'm leaning toward Escalona but I have a while to make up my mind! Either option sounds great though. I can't wait.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
