Hi Lads
Quick question i hope hasn't been asked before.
If one wanted to purchase something online, for instance from Amazon, but any internet seller and have it delivered to the oneself on the Camino, how could one go about it?
Has anyone used Amazon Hub lockers or other equivalents? Can one just use the postal service?
Anyone with experience of this, for instance just buying new runners and having them delivered.
Thanks

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
That company you mention offers local hubs for delivery too, when going through check-out, you can figure out delivery dates and work out whereabouts you might be, then see if there is any hub nearby. For example, I live in a 7K inhabitant town, and we have 8 or so.

And if you tried to buy off any other internet retailer, could you have it delivered somewhere on the camino?
Are their alternatives to that company i mentioned's hubs?

I would suggest booking with a hotel in one of the larger towns and then asking the hotel if they would be able to receive a package for you before you arrive. I live outside the USA and whenever I fly back for work I do this with all kinds of stuff. You will have a much easier time not dealing with customs and ordering from a site within the EU.

In 2019 I had some photographic equipment shipped from Turkey to Ivar's address with no problem. I did check with him first though.

For one Camino (Ingles) I did just that. I wanted to leave the hassle of taking my expensive trekking poles, and I used Amazon.es to order good quality, but inexpensive trekking poles for the 5 day trip. The key is to use the Spanish Amazon site - Amazon.es - and to place your order within the stated delivery date window so that you will receive it on time. Also, and obviously, be sure to direct the delivery to the correct address and not your default home address.

I think I needed to do some re-registering with Amazon.es, but I cannot recall exactly what was done. It wasn't a hassle, though, otherwise I would have remembered it being so.

Before placing the Amazon.es order, I had contacted the lodging in Ferrol where Jill and I would start from and made sure they would accept the delivery. Upon check-in, the trekking pole order had already been placed inside our room waiting for our arrival.
