Sept Oct - Camino Francis
I am walking my first Camino in Sept/Oct and am excitedly packing and practicing -and now trying to reduce pack weight. Focusing on non clothing items One item I am hoping I can leave behind is decaffeinated coffee packets? I get restless and have trouble sleeping on caffeine -so my love of coffee has been met w decaff for 15 yrs. Curious how easy was it to find in cafes along the way? Thx J

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
All bars/cafés have decaf coffee: descafeinado.
Some might only have 'descafeinado de sobre', which basically is a little packet of instant decaf coffee. Usually taken with milk.
Others will also have 'descafeinado de máquina' (from the coffee machine), so just like any other coffee you could order (solo, cortado, con leche...) but decaf.

With multiple Caminos I don't recall ever seeing decaf coffee.
After walking 22 km you will sleep like a baby.
Buen Camino

The café descafeinado is everywhere on the Camino Francés - in bars, restaurants, etc., almost always made using an espresso maker. It is consistently wonderful. In five weeks of walking, there might have been one place that didn't have it. It's much more common on the Camino Francés than in the US.

I would assume it's equally available on other camino routes, if you're not doing the Francés.

You can get decaf anywhere. Just ask for café descafeinado, either “de sobre” or “de máquina.” De sobre will be the little packet of Nescafé you’re hoping not to have to bring in your backpack. De máquina is from the expresso machine. You will also need to differentiate whether you want it con leche, cortado, or solo. But decaf is readily available, just ask.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Many thanks! As a coffee lover I was planning on taking a small unopened jar and ditching the container when I arrived but now not needed - so next debate headlamp and rechargeable battery or….😊

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Well, Robo, I was thinking if one was making coffee in the early morn, before setting out, or late at night in the albergue kitchen..or having a packet on hand if there is a cafe that does not make decaff. I was thinking a couple of packets (not a jar) is not exactly a huge and weighty load.
