Camino Frances -part of and VDLP- part of. Hoping to do Del Norte this year
Hi All,

I see a few questions have been posted previously about bikes and cycling del Norte but not really too many answers. I am planning on cycling the route at the beginning of August - its a part of Spain I haven't visited and have dying to see it for ages. Flying with Ryanair into Biarritz.

I walked part of the VDLP last year in June (like the heat) and walked 11 days on Camino Frances year before. So cycling is a new adventure. I cycle a bit in Ireland but on a hybrid bike, so would like to rent a bike in Spain -mountain bike I imagine. Anybody have any good suggestions for renting?
Also I found it quite cheap on the other 2 caminos- will accommodation be more in the north because it's holiday season??

Really appreciate any info from someone who has cycled or is planning to or recently walked it?

Cheers,
Matty :)

I recently bused some parts. I saw lots of cyclists walking their bikes up hills. It spends a lot of time going down to rivers and back up to ridges. The bikes appeared to be hybrids and road bikes, not mountain bikes.
