When preparing my walk, I used the guide book from the Fédération Française de la Randonnée Pédestre.
I always thought that the Camino followed the GR65 and vice versa.
This is not the case when crossing the Rhône near Clonas-sur-Varèze. At the place called Les Meuilles, the Camino shells point to the left, and the Camino is clearly marked all the way to Clonas-sur-Varèze.
The GR65 map, and iPhiGéNie will ask you to turn right, and take a path up to cross the bridge at Condrieu. The reason is that the bridge at Clonas-sur-Varèze is too dangerous. Locals have told us that this is not the case.
We'll let you know later, we're crossing that bridge today.
