Hello,
We are starting the camino ingles next week, do you know where to go to buy the credencial in Ferrol?
Thank you!

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

Down by the harbour start point of the Camino is a tourist office who will help with a map and directions to get out of Ferrol Town. They also supply a passport, however when I did this camino a few years ago, the passport was different to the "official" passport supplied by Ivar.

The office used to be on the jetty but it is now in the buildings facing the harbour. Also a good coffe shop next door.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Any updates from anyone that’s gotten their credencial from Ferrol in the last year please?

I've just walked it ten days ago. I started in Ferrol at the harbour, getting my pre-bought credencial stamped at the tourist office mentioned above. You can also buy one there, if you need one. But keep in mind the opening hours! You don't want to wait for the office to open if you want an early start.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Super helpful, thanks! We’ll be arriving the day before, so we can pick up during that day and then still have an early start in the morning. Thanks again!

You're welcome! Perhaps you can do me a little favour? I missed seeing the stone marker for the beginning of the route outside the office.

If you can take a picture of that and post it, that will save me from having to return to Ferrol...

Hah, I can certainly oblige you that! It won’t be until May 21, though - hope you can wait! :)

That'll be fine. Muchas gracias!

If you want a little preview of what you'll be seeing/experiencing, you could read my blog.
