Monday Night at the Movies (MNM) is screening Sticky Fingers (Les Doigts Croches) on Monday, Jan. 25 at Galaxy Cinemas in Orangeville.
Set in 1960s Montreal, Charles (Roy Dupuis) recruits his criminal pals to carry out the crime of the century.
However, on the night of the robbery, the police turn up and they have to proceed swiftly to Plan B. They decide to give themselves up, but allow one of them to escape with the $2 million in loot.
Four years later, when they get out of prison, the five gang members set out to find their accomplice and get their hands on their nest egg. They’re flabbergasted to discover their colleague has given them two conditions before they can get to the money.
They have to walk the 830 km of the pilgrims’ route of St-Jacques-de-Compostelle, and they all have to prove they’ve changed their ways. For the first time in their lives, these eternal delinquents will have to make a real effort to become honest citizens.
This comedic film from director Ken Scott is rated 14A and is in French with English subtitles. MNM offers three screenings, at 4:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. Individual tickets are $8 (cash only) and can be purchased from BookLore or at the theatre on the night of the screening.
