- Time of past OR future Camino
- I have just heard about the camino and looking into possible routes to walk.
Hello Everyone,
Im pretty new on here so thought id ask for a little advice. I have just booked my flight to Porto (1st June) to spend 3 days with my partner before heading North on my own to begin my first ever camino on Monday 5th June.
I have been reading lots online and just wanted to advice to fellow pilgrims who have taken this journey. I have a time frame of around 3 weeks to do the full walk but not really in any rush and want to appreciate the little places that i stop in.
Any recommendations of places to explore/stay more then one night?
On average how much do people spend on the Camino?
I have pretty much booked cheap hostels on booking.com in fear of not being able to get a bed for the night upon my arrival in each place. Is this common?
I heard that once i hit Spain it becomes a lot busier.
Once reaching Santaigo i was thinking about walking to Finisterre after a couple of days resting and depending on budget/time.
I have created a map on google of my journey. Any tips regarding places to stay/eat - any places where its easy to become lost etc, churches, view points etc would all be really helpful.
Here is my map - https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewe...gHPZ8-AV-p16U&vomp=1&cid=mp&cv=C4lJwvjp4m4.en.
It is not yet complete but hoping to put things together by the end of this week.
Thanks for your help.
