ACC, Acogida Christiana del Camino de Santiago, is a nascent network of hospitaleros, ministers, dioceses, and religious who work along the camino to provide a Christian welcome to travelers and pilgrims. It is headed-up by Sister Carolina, an Augustinian nun familiar to pilgrims who stay at El Espiritu Santo albergue in Carrion de los Condes.
You do not have to be Roman Catholic or Spanish to take part, but the discussions will be in Spanish and worship and accommodations are planned within a Catholic monastic setting.
The group is getting together at the Benedictine Convent of the Carbajales in Leon (site of the pilgrim albergue) November 11, 12, and 13 to get to know one another and organize itself. You must register before 4 November to attend, please IM me for contact information if you are interested.
