Two recent newspaper articles describe Charrito‘s love of the Geira. Links below.

Just FYI, I did get his permission to post these with reference to his forum name, since the article contains his real name.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I met the mayor of Beariz today. He insisted on giving me a very heavy cultural review, which I have carried, but he was also very delighted to know that I was a friend of Charrito’s. He had not seen the articles, so I was glad to have them online to show him. He has been the mayor of this town for, I think, 39 years! And he is very much hoping that the Camino da Geira will takeoff!

I read that this gentleman has done a pilgrimage to the cathedral 31 TIMES!!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Thanks for calling me a 'gentleman'!! I've been called far worse things before, sometimes even on this forum!!

What I said in the interviews is that I had walked 21 complete caminos, but at times I just drive up from Salamanca and walk for a few days or a week on different routes without worrying about finishing in Santiago. That's where the two journalists got the number 31 from.

I was also given the same cultural guide by Don Manuel Prado, the mayor of Beariz, and can verify what you say about it being a bit heavy!!

He's a great person to have a few wines with in the Bar Centro.
