For any of you pilgrims who are walking the Chemin Le Puy, you're definitely going to want to stop at Rochegude. It's one of the oldest monuments on the road (more or less 1000 yrs). On that particular day of hiking(leaving Saint-Privat d'Allier, normally day two), with its crazy ascents, it is a "restful place." I wrote a short blog about Rochegude here:

Maybe some former "Le Puy" pilgrims out there have other memories of "restful places"?

No other restful places, just an add-on to the post. If it rains or has been raining that descent from Rochegude can be downright dangerous with wet rocks and mud on the menu.
