CBD topical cream?

Time of past OR future Camino
July-August 2023 Camino Frances
I believe CBD is only available legally in Spain if used in a topical. Is the same true for France?
I take a daily CBD gummy here in the US and it seems to work wonderfully for joint aches and pains as an anti-inflammatory. I know I cannot travel to another country with it as it is illegal in some places but I would like to purchase some cream if possible in France (St Jean Pied de Port) where we are starting or maybe in Pamplona. I am not talking about marijauna....CBD gummies and cream do not make you high!
If ever I could use some help with these old joints, the camino would be the time! If anyone has any info specifically about this and/or where to purchase, I would be extremely grateful!

Last week I was looking at the AirBnB I reserved in Reims, France for the few days before I start my Camino. I was looking at Google Maps for a bakery near the apartment (so I can offset all the Champagne I'll be drinking while there ;)) and I noticed there is a CBD shop near the apartment. I wondered the same thing, because I absolutely love my topical CBD/Arnica balm! I looked at the website of the CBD shop near the apartment and it contains all kinds of stuff including supplements - so I think CBD gummies might be included? The issue always seems to arise when it contains a percentage of THC - however the balm I use has no THC. I think it's a matter of the product having to contain less than .3% THC to be legal. So if it's pure CBD oil, or CBD gummies without THC - I get the impression it is potentially both legal and available for sale?

Here's a recent article (Jan 2023) I found from Forbes about France overturning a ban on CBD Flowers - but it also includes info about CBD sales in France. Here's a quote from the article and a link to it:
"France has one of the strictest regulations on cannabis in the EU. However, the government approved in December 2021 the sale of products containing CBD with a THC content of less than 0.3%..."

Good luck!

PS: A quick google search shows at least half a dozen cbd shops in Pamplona - some, if not all of which, carry gummies.

Stina...Thank you for the article! It's very helpful. I had no hope of getting the CBD gummies anywhere over there for my camino but I had read that in topicals, it was available legally. Maybe I will be able to get the gummies as that is what has worked best for me. I'm glad you find the CBD/Arnica balm helpful. Which camino are you doing? Hope all goes well! Buen Camino!

Btw, don’t know if you saw the PS I added to my post - but it looks like you should have some luck finding gummies in Pamplona.
