Can I Carry Hiking Poles in my US to Madrid Flight for a Camino Frances Trip?

@Collie Mom is correct. I don’t believe that TSA will let you through security with hiking poles.

A better alternative to checking your pack with poles, IMHO, is to purchace them when you get to France or Spain. There are several outfitter-type shops in SJPP where you can purchase gear like poles or a knife. You won’t have any difficulty finding something suitable prior to starting your Camino.
