Camino Story on CNN

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

During my winter Camino 2014 I watched a budding relationship between a German girl and a young man from Mississippi, USA.

They married in 2015 in Germany where they also reside. As of 2022 they became parents to their first child.

Very nice article.

Thanks for posting.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

The relationship you speak of sounds very familiar to me. I know there are many stories of true love blossoming on the camino. I heard an interview on one of the camino podcasts and it may have been about these two people you knew. Do you know if I am correct or not? Thanks.

I have no idea unless I hear the podcast.

Hi
Chazunderhill,
Thank you for posting. This is not your usual Camino story. It is proof that the Camino provides--love.
A little help. This article 1st came out early Friday morning (US time). I attempted to download it to a post immediately but was unable to do so (my incompetence?). How did you do it?

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
For six years now I have had the nicest, most wonderful son-in-law any father could ask for. We walked together on the Camino Mozarabe just last month. My daughter, my wife and I met first Julien, from France, in the municipal albergue in Bilbao in 2013. The Camino provides! Buen Camino

Yes, I also read this on CNN. It was a lovely story.
Thank you, everyone who contributed to this forum. I have enjoyed reading all your very helpful posts and hope to do the CF, this September.

My hiking companion in 2005 and I met a German girl in Tricastela; they clicked at dinner and he followed up by email and a meetup in Paris. She moved in with him in LA in 2007; they were married in 2008. A very happy marriage even with a 25 year age difference and a language difference. He died xmas 2020. They were very blessed by the Camino experience--as was I to walk with them and to know them.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

If I can ever remember I will send you a pm about it. I usually listen to Dan Mullen, The Camino Cafe and sometimes the Sacred Steps one. I also listen to @jungleboy. His wife and he have a very good podcast, (although infrequent) that is really very informative especially for those who like less traveled caminos. They don't interview people.
