hi, i'm planning to do the camino portuges from porto to santiago on the end of may or in the strat of june 2013 and i have few questions:
1. is the wether in porugal to hot for walking on june?
2. it's my first time in the camino and i've noticed that the french camino is more popular - is it better to do the french first or is the camino portuges has it's own magic?
3. do you sugest me to visit lisbon as well?

Hi y.benzur
just seen your questions.. I'm sorry none of us have answered you before now - so I'll try

I gather from others that the weather in the summer months can vary hugely. Last year it was extremely hot early on, as was described in some posts then.

So I'd say it should be fine unless you are very unlucky.
Caminho Portugues does have it's own magic for sure and although most people walk the Frances as their first camino I think the CP is the second most popular. Personally I'd save the Frances for a longer trip when you can do more of it. CP from Porto is a pretty gentle two weeks, as it's about 20k per day for 12 days.
Lisbon and Porto - so different! but both amazing. Don't miss out on Porto, but if you have the time, a day in Lisbon will not be a wasted day... and of the towns in between, Tomar and Coimbra are both on the caminho, steeped in history and a bit special.
cheers, tom
