Camino Memory Blankets

Kiwi-family

{Rachael, the Mama of the family}
Time of past OR future Camino
walking every day for the rest of my life
After I did my 1,500km mostly-mountainous camino last year I came home and crocheted a ripple blanket full of camino memories....

Six weeks ago hubby and I decided to walk the Caminho Portugues so I have done another blanket in anticipation of the colours we will see in sunsets and ocean and paths and trees and stone churches....and it's made up of lots of squares coz I know there will be cobblestones and windows peeking out of Porto buildings.....image.webp

They are very happy together on our bed and will keep us warm for the ten days til we leave.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
What a very nice blanket, I love the colours! And the idea that the blanket will always remind you of the Portugese Camino.

Absolutely beautiful blankets Rachael - thank you for sharing them with us. There is nothing like being wrapped in a warm blanket with glorious colours which has been made with love - it truly is being wrapped with love.
Take joy in every step on your Caminho Portugues -
Cheers - Jenny

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
