Hello friends!
The Camino has called me back, and I will be arriving in Alicante the evening of Wed Nov 7th.
I have a flight booked back home from Madrid the morning of Tues Dec 18th.
This gives me over a month, and I prefer longish daily distances of 35-40 km, although I can bust out an occasional 50km if I need to.
It might be a lonely walk - but I'll keep myself amused by daily video-blogging on my Youtube Channel.
I am undecided with the options:
a) Walk the Lana to Burgos, and continue on the Frances to finish in Santiago
b) Walk the Lana to Burgos, and bus to walk a different Camino (eg. Mozarbe from Granada to Merida)
c) Walk the Sureste to Astorga, continue on the Frances to finish in Santiago
d) Walk the Levante to Astorga, continue on the Frances to finish in Santiago
I will probably eventually end up walking all routes in Spain, so it doesn't matter if I tackle the Lana, Sureste, or Levante in this trip. Which route is best for the late fall, with the lowest risk of heavy snowfall in the higher elevations?
Also, I do have a smallish budget, so I would prefer selecting a route with lower budget lodging options like albergues. Staying in hotels cuts deeply into my coffee, chocolate, and wine funds.
I appreciate any guidance and/or suggestions.
Thanks in advance Team Camino!!!
