This was a Spanish chap on an Appaloosa, just after Rabe, at the beginning of the Meseta, he stopped for water at the hand pump spring. Very cute leather fly band attached to the head collar

i met a peregrino arriving from his camino on horseback last week at santiago. and the previous week a peregrino arriving with a donkey.
