I've been getting adverts for a Camino card that provides discounts of 10% for designated services along three main Caminos. Has anyone used any of these Camino cards, and is it worth the investment?
Thanks

Hi Sylvie.

I haven't used these cards, but I'm glad you mentioned them. I was told by Spanish Tourism that they were debuting in May, but had forgotten about them. The cards are good for 7, 15 or 30 days. Here's what they told me via e-mail:

"It's a card that provides discounts in a lot of establishments along the Camino and also provides medical assistance. The medical assistance is provided by Mutua Madrileña, a well-known Spanish insurance company.

The project has been created by the owners of www.whereisasturias.com who are focused on promoting the following Caminos:

* Primitivo: http://www.whereisasturias.com/the-camino-of-st-james-the-original-way/

* Costa: http://www.whereisasturias.com/the-way-of-saint-james-the-coastal-route/ "

Here's a link to the website with info about the card: http://www.caminodesantiagocard.com/web/. There is also a card for the Camino Frances.
