Hi All,
I'm setting off on my first Camino next Monday 20th from Ferrol, and I was just wondering what recommendations people might have in terms of budget as this was a fairly last minute decision to do a a camino! I am hoping to stay in municipal albergues wherever possible and have rooms booked in Ferrol, Sigueiro and Santiago so as to keep costs down. With the Albergues, do they generally fill up by a certain time or can I be fairly confident of getting a bed by 4pm?
During the day, I'm hoping to keep costs down by bringing cereal bars and nuts but regarding lunch and dinner, how expensive to places along the way tend to be? Is €15 a day food budget enough if I'm prudent or should I be allowing for more? (I'm from Ireland where everything is HUGELY expensive so I'm hoping Spain is more affordable!).
and finally, am I best bringing cash with me in the anticipation that there won't be many atm's along the way.
Any advice will be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Beccy
