...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

Thank you.
I had already read that, but it doesn't clarify my question regarding the existence of two alterantive paths.
This describes the one that goes through Alvito. Anyone did the other way?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I don’t have specific information but I would trust the second of the two links as this comes from the official site of this camino and is more likely to be up-to-date. Alvito is a nice place with a castle-pousada so we were happy to stop there.

Hello to you all:
I wasn't very convinced with the fact that we had to ride many kms on a main road, so we decided to take the risk and follow the path on the first link and I can tell you that it was a good choice.
The path is all rideable/walkable, nice landscapes, no cars and some gates to cross, but all with a request to leave them as they were (opened, or closed).
We started in Tavira and got to Évora in 4 magnificent days. It was a great experience, that I can recommend.
