Has anyone used a boat service to get them from Caminha to Valenca? Such as Taxi Boat Peregrinos? Can you get dropped on the Caminha side of the river?

Reading lots of people's review about the path to cross over from Coastal to Central route isn't much to miss, so looking at options for the boat but I have this thing in my mind that I need to cross the river into Spain from Valenca. Hence my questions above. Or other suggestions to get me to Valenca.

Sooo, I don't quite understand what you want to do. Acccording to Brierley (2024 Camino Portugués) you can walk both sides of the Miño - Portugal and Spain as far as Vila Nova de Cerveira on the Portuguese side. There is a vehicle & pedestrian bridge - but there is no camino that continues east along the Spanish side. You CAN, however, walk on the Portugues side of the river to Valença, then just walk across the bridge to Tui...

I thought I saw - somewhere, yesterday, maybe on this forum - that there is a boat from Caminha to Valença. Buen Camino! And please post when you do this route!

Yes, I have read (which I linked to) that you can take the boat from Caminha to Valenca so wondering if anyone has taken that, as it's not clear whether they actually drop you on the Valenca side. But also you can walk it, there's a couple of routes (the camino marked way, and a river route called Ecopista) so weighing up options and ideas

Yes, it was Ecopista! Thanks!!
Even if they drop you on the side you don't want to be on, just walk across the bridge! Easy, Peasy!
If you want to wait until early November, I'll get back to you about this...
