I’m going to be getting the Monbus from Lavacolla just outside Santiago airport to Samos on Tuesday Is it worth booking online or ok to pay cash on the bus? Any thoughts would be welcome. Pay on the day seems easier!

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
In May 2022 I I wanted to jump start my Camino Ingles with a walk from Samos to SdeC. Flew into SdeC and stayed the night. Then bought a SdeC-Samos ticket at the new SdeC Intermodal station for E 11.60 cash. Did not pre-book. Had no trouble buying the ticket. Bus was only half full. Very pleasant trip, Can recommend Monbus w/o reservation.

I would book in advance. Only one direct bus per day and it is the same one used by locals and pilgrims trying to get to Sarria, too. Monbus has an English drop down menu, too.
I would do the same. I know that the buses SdC - Porto Airport are often sold out.
I have now bought two tickets, one Bilbao - Astorga (7 hours) and one SdC - Porto (3 hours). The Porto ticket was more expensive than the Astorga ticket :-o

Well, how did things go ?

Thanks for asking! After having a bit of a think I booked the bus online! Managed easily and have ticket on my phone. Am taking a print too whilst trying not to pack my fears!
In 24 hours I will be at the airport. I’m very excited.
You can use the printed ticket as scratch paper...double purpose for everything!

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
