I will need to do a little bit of bus skipping (maybe 2 to 5 days) worth between these two points. anybody have any suggestions of best parts to skip? I’m preferring the coastal non pavement routes

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Maybe Colunga - Avilés? You will have to change buses in Gijón then, I guess. I just walked Ribadesella - Colunga - Villaviciosa. Ribadesella - Colunga was coastal and stunning, but Colunga - Villaviciosa was a bit boring and the highway was always near. I don't know about Villaviciosa - Gijón, but at least everybody says that Gijón - Avilés is very industrial. With Colunga - Avilés you would skip about 3 stages.
