Brrrr...anyone walking the Camino at the moment?

I've just seen the XC forecast for Burgos later this week and it's -10C min. at night and -3 max. during the day! Seems like most of Europe is shivering at the moment. Here in Salisbury it's +1 C and the first snow I've seen this winter is falling.

Are there any live blogs currently?

Andrew.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I am not walking, but I live on the meseta. The weather in my part is beautiful, almost spring-like for the past few weeks! It has been a remarkably mild winter. Very few pilgrims about lately, but this is usually the deadest part of the year. They´ll be here soon enough.

Hola

I spent a couple of days last week walking from Burgos. The weather was indeed very cold and snowy. Over three days I met two other pilgrims both Spanish and both feeling as if conditions were arctic. From chatting to hospitaleros etc albergues are open along the route but care needs to be taken planning stages. As ever layering of clothes is the answer - I felt warm walking in three layers and two were sufficient most of the time. I would have walked more but a bad cold which laid me up for two days when I got home put paid to that!

Pictures in El Pais this morning of snow in Pamplona and much of La Rioja.
I would love to be on the Camino now - too cold to be training outside today so I'll stick to the cycle trainer inside my house.
Snow due here tomorrow.

Go on Duncan go for a stroll :)
Have to walk the dog so training happens by default

We have -5C and rising at the moment, up from -6C overnight. Going for a walk when it warms up a bit more, 0C will do. :)
The Spanish weather forecast gave -12C for some places on the Camino last night. Go carefully and safely folks.
