The Cathedral website says:

What it doesn't say is whether the botafumeiro will swing after every mass on those days or only after specific masses on those very special days. Does anyone know? I imagine this information will be of interest to some.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Well, hurry, today is the day to find out! There was the Solemn Mass at 10:30 am today when the Botafumeiro did swing of course, followed by five Misas del Peregrino. All of them are live broadcast on https://catedraldesantiago.es/retransmision-en-directo/

Your question had been asked before which is why I watched the pilgrim mass at 1 pm today. The Botafumeiro did not swing.

The 5 pm pilgrim mass has ended. The Botafumeiro did not swing. There will be two more today on this feast day of the Apostle Saint James: at 6 pm and at 7:30 pm.

One spot left (female, shared room) on the Catalina Island hike. Sign up by Sept 17

No Botafumeiro during the 6 pm pilgrim mass on 25 July 2024 either which has now ended. But there is an announcement now that the pews at the front are reserved for an “event for the archconfraternity” and people in these pews are asked “to move back”.

It sounds like it is guaranteed to swing at the Solemn Mass on these dates but not guaranteed for any of the other masses on the given dates. Is the Solemn Mass always the 10:30 mass?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
To me, it looks more as if there is no Botafumeiro except during the special mass that is dedicated to the Apostle and to the national Ofrenda etc. on this special day.

It also seems to me that during the novena there was no Botafumeiro during the 19:30 pilgrim mass where the liturgy was also somewhat different from the usual pilgrim mass.
