Black and White...or Color

Photography that is...

I tend to like black and white photos
there is no false expectations, no prejudices or notions as to what the color should be...could be
there is only the beauty of the moment, stark and right there before you

Color is good, color is fine
until you have to fill in the blanks
you can nudge the colors using any program, HDR, or photoshop

to bad life on the road is not cut from the same camera
i mean to say..

I see things in black and white, life in black and white..stark and beautiful
some days i look at the colors and smile, all the different people, ideas and beliefs
all letting them see the world in a myriad of rainbows and reflections

I like looking at the reflections in each and every raindrop
the smell of all the roses
the sound of wind, gentle and wise from the wanderings

as you see there is more to the story.

walk in open eyed wonder at the road before you
what seems colorless and bland
may be beautiful and wondrous in another light

the same with your fellow Camino wanderers
who and what they are, may not be what they seem
unless you look at them in a different light

free from expectations, and predjudii..
see the world and find a whole new spectrum, a whole new way to see

I seem to have forgotten that , these years off the road
I hope to remember that when I once again find myself down some path, with trepidation in my heart, having lost the way, and seeing a fellow peregrino..and wonder, who and what they are, what they see and how they see it,and with a smile and laughing, knowing eyes, show me the way back to the road.

and in return, somewhen, somewhere, be the light to someone else

Life is more than B@W..more than Color

Be Blessed with true sight Pilgrims
Peace

On my last Camino (2023) I noticed that there were lots of tourists. It reminded me of a couple of quotes that I have read since my first Camino (2015) “A tourist demands, a pilgrim is grateful”...
