Time of past OR future Camino
Camino del Norte April 2024
Hello fellow pilgrims,

I am starting the Camino del Norte in 2 days time. Really looking forward to it. I am just looking for the best way to go from Biarritz Airport to Irun?

Does a bus go from the airport to Irun?

Hoping for some advice. Thanks a million in advance

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
If you have a couple of extra days, it’s worth it walking from the airport. Pretty flat and easy, lots of ocean views, and St Jean de Luz is a lovely city

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
Walking is a wonderful option. There's a local bus from the Airport to Bidart (about a 10 minute bus ride) to Bidart so you can start right on the coast. A great way to work out the kinks from the flight(s)

Buen Camino

You are so right about JeanLuc. I walked from Bayonne to Irun last year to start the Vasco. It is a really nice little stretch of camino to walk. Had some killer ice cream in Saint Jean De Luz. The albergue and the hospitalaria in Bayonne was wonderful also. Had two great nights to start my three camino walk last year. I have to say that the walk out of Bayonne is the the greatest but I didn't care, nothing can spoil the happiness of starting a camino.

We rode the city bus from the airport to Hendaye then walked across the river into Irun. Very nice walk.

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).
Sorry this may be too late but here is the public transport info from Biarritz Airport, if you don't want to / don't have time to walk.

This, below, is a good option. Gets you to Hendaye and then you can stretch your legs.

hi there. I sent an email to JeanLuc but no reply. Do you have a whatsApp contact number for him please?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
