Camino Portugues: 2019
I completed the Frances from St Jean in 2016 and made a wonderful friend from South Africa. We want to do a Camino reunion walk but only have a week. Since we're not able to do the whole route this time around we'd love to know the best sections from Porto to Santiago. Thanks & buen Camino!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Just a thought. Have you considered walking from Santiago to Finisterre than to Muxia. It has it all coast, hills and charming rivers. Ancient store houses. Green lush forests and when I walk I saw a handful pilgrims.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

Hi! We actually did Finisterre & Muxia in 2016. So beautiful!

"best sections?" If you want to have a holiday hike, try the Fishermen's Trail south from Lisbon.
Yes, sections :) Since we don't have time to do the entire trek, we are trying to narrow down our path. Just looking for favorite areas from folks who have walked from Porto.

For me, the best section of the Coastal route was the Spiritual Variant, from Pontevedra to Padron. That is not a weeks worth of foot travel on its own, but I would go back for that section all over again! And you could start back in Vigo or Nigran depending on the distance you want to cover.

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
Adar’s Is a neat suggestion.

From Oia to S de C is still special without the Variante.

I loved the section after Matosinhos, the first day from Porto. It is loaded with beautiful beaches and boardwalks to walk upon. This was my day fifteen on the CP. Open the link to see the photos of this beautiful place! There are many more boardwalks the next day, day sixteen. If you want the best place to walk on the actual beach for a long way, my day eighteen was the best! The Praia de Arda is hard-packed and easy to walk on! I loved Baiona, and it's castle and all the beaches. You can walk for 2 kilometers on the Praia Las Americans, see our day twenty! Good luck and have a wonderful time.

Oh, I forgot to include the Central Route from Porto. I just assumed you were a coastal girl! If you want history, castles, walking on Roman roads and more mountains, the Central is wonderful too, just a totally different walk. I loved Valenca and Tui on our Day nineteen. I loved Pontevedra on day twenty-two.
