I'm planning to take a crushable waterproof jacket and pants. What type of jacket would you recommend in addition to a medium weight fleece Top?

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
Welcome to the forum. For October-November, these are the tops I bring. On a cold day, I can put them all on!
  1. Merino-synthetic blend T-shirt
  2. Long sleeve light weight shirt
  3. Light-to-medium weight fleece
  4. Merino-synthetic long underwear shirt (for evenings and sleeping)
  5. Down vest (sleeveless) for extra warmth, mainly in evenings
  6. Light weight waterproof breathable jacket (large size to accommodate many layers plus my valuables pouch inside on rainy days) - I used this often as wind breaker too.
Two light layers are more versatile than one medium-heavy layer.

All I took last year was my light fleece and Goretex Jacket. I get hot once I start walking and wore either or, depending on rain and never both together while walking . Only my synthetic T shirt underneath.
In the evening if rainy I wore both. I never take rain pants as hiking trousers dry very quickly.
