Before Pontevedra

Time of past OR future Camino
Summer 2021
Good evening all.
I did the Portuguese Camino in 2021 and I am trying to remember how to get to a part of it right before arriving in Pontevedra. I remember we got on a path and walked through a thick forest and there was a stream on the right side. At the end of that walk you arrive at a tunnel and after the tunnel is Pontevedra. Can someone tell me where the beautiful path in the forest begins? I know we were walking on the road and then we had to make a choice and we chose to walk through the forest and it ended in Pontevedra.
I would appreciate it any input. Thanks

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Apps that use Open Street Maps (ie Osmand) often have more detailed information than Google Maps has. The pathway doesn't show up on Google, but it does on Osmand.

Is it this bit that shows as a dotted line on Gronze?

Gronze description via Google Translate: The Senda Fluvial do Río dos Gafos, at the entrance to Pontevedra, a path conditioned among lush vegetation that protects us from the sun, has been the official route since 2018 to the detriment of the boring and sunny EP-0002 road. At the fork there are two cairns that indicate both paths (right along the road, left along the river).

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
after the chapel and hamlet of Santa Marta, which you will walk by, you'll come to the river option (see previous reply and photo). this is about 300 meters after the chapel. then follow the arrows. you may, once on the river route, ignore any arrows taking you off the rout till you go through a tunnel. at the overpass, there are arrows taking you back up to the road and the bars. so, have faith, follow the trail and wait till you get ejected onto the road after the tunnel (it's a short and safe tunnel).
Buen Camino

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
The trail you are referring to is probably along the Ria Tomeza. Not long after the village of Arcade the Camino wanders alongside that river for about an hour of walking before entering into Pontevedra.
