Several years ago I subscribed to Backpacker magazine. Lots of great stories plus reviews of backpacking gear - boots, jackets, trekking poles, sleeping bags, etc. I found the reviews to be very useful in guiding me regarding the appropriate clothing and gear for the Camino.
Most of the articles are written for a youngish, buff audience that seek thrills in making a technical climb over soaring mountain ranges. Being a flatlander afraid of heights, I can't imagine hiking most of the trails.
On a few occasions, I sent an email to their editors suggesting that there is an older generation of hikers that enjoy hiking, and I suggested they write an article on the Camino de Santiago. I never received a response.
Yesterday I was browsing the May/June 2021 magazine. What a nice surprise to see an article on the Camino! The title is "Hike, Breathe, Repeat. A pilgrim seeking peace and purpose on Spain's famed Camino de Santiago finds much more". A brief but good story with photos.
Enjoy! Bob
