Has anyone used Luis Mochilas transfer service before? I'm considering ising it from Redondela onwards. Would like to ask about your experience with it. Thanks

Train for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island March 16-19
I used Top Santiago most of the way. They were very easy to use and contact.
Haven't heard of the company you mentioned.

I've not heard of it, either. I have used Caminofacil on both the Frances and the Portuguese Coastal.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-

Following. We too will be looking for bag transfer on the Costal but we’ll be taking a month to walk. So we will need one that we can call and confirm our next stop on a daily basis. All the ones I have looked up so far are scheduled.

That is why I used Top Santiago. You notify them each day about where you are going. You don't need to plan ahead for them. They notify you when your bag arrives.

Ditto for Caminofacil. They have an on line reservation system so you can use it when you need it. On the Frances, I'd use them once then maybe carry my bag for a day or two.

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
I am currently on the Camino Portugués and after a quick search on this forum, I reached out to Tuitrans, Pilbeo, and Top Santiago.

Top Santiago has been incredible so far. They respond on WhatsApp within minutes. They are incredibly helpful and organized. Each leg is 8 Euros.

In Vigo, Rendondela, I’ve been able to stay in private apartments (Airbnb or Booking) and just leave my bags at a cafe or hostel (for 2 euro fee).

In Vigo, you leave it at Cafe Chocomare (except on Mondays when they are closed). In Redondela, you leave it at Cafe Farola (must get the egg and potato tortilla for breakfast - delicious). In Pontevedra, you leave it at GBC hostel for a 2 Euro fee.

Pilbeo never responded to my inquiry. Tuitrans responded a day later and they cannot do leg by leg booking. They are also more expensive at 10 euros a day.

I see it this way - if you’re a type A planner and want to do everything in advance, Tuitrans may be good for you. If you’re going with the flow and need flexibility, do not hesitate to book with Top Santiago. Sometimes they respond in Spanish on WhatsApp so I would just recommend using google translate when needed.

Buen Camino and thanks to all the amazing posts and replies on this forum that have been so helpful in planning my journey. Also a shout out to stingynomads.com. You are a gift to all pilgrims - thank you for all of your resources.

I completed back to back Caminos last week. C Ingles and Camino Vigo to SDC. Carried my pack on the Ingles but did a backpack transfer on the Vigo route. I hired Luis Mochilas from Redondela all the way to SDC. Found their envelope in an albergue, messaged them on whatsapp, and got confirmation on whether they will pick it up. Cost 6 euros each stage; put money inside the envelope and leave the bag in the reception desk. Each stage, I did this and had no problem.

It is a small company with two drivers. The bags were delivered before I arrived.
