AVE train from Madrid to Sarria

Hi everyone,
quick question :
Is this AVE train from Madrid to Sarria(transit Ourense ) at 10am is only available in Summer months ? The schedule is not available after Sep 10. Just want to confirm.

Maybe. Spanish railway timetables are not published very far in advance (12 weeks, I have heard), so this train is likely to still be running but you´ll have to wait till nearer the time to be sure. At this point, probably the train operators themselves don´t know.

We took a train last month from Madrid to Sarria and the last segment is by bus from Ourense due to rail works on the line.

Train schedules change seasonally, so keep checking.

Rail ticket prices used to be mostly fixed, but thanks to the Internet, rail service have adopted the airline model, so prices can change by the second. Be sure to get tickets in advance for the best price.

Yes, and they can go both up and down.

A few months ago, I watched prices for Madrid-Valencia fluctuate, with low prices offered occasionally on different trains. When I found the train I wanted suddenly go on sale at a reduced rate, I bought a ticket. Of course you take your chances this way, but watching for a couple of weeks can be quite informative.
