We recently visited London so I checked the Paramo store. While I was checking out the women's clothes, my partner went and bought us both ponchos. Has anyone got experience with these? How do they go on a windy day IE do they go airborne like a sail and wrap themselves around your neck like my old Sea to Summit one did?

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
It looks like it just hangs in the back, so yes, it certainly looks like it will blow around.
Look at the difference between these and an Altus, that fits around your pack and has sleeves? An Altus is a lot cheaper too and the same weight.

I had no idea that Paramo did ponchos. I have about 20 bits of Paramo gear and what they say on the tin is what you get. So if they say designed for hot and humid it will fit the bill.
