Dear all,

I hope it is ok to offer rooms here...At least due to the concrete circmumstances....

I am from Germany and I wanted to go a part of the Camino del Norte with my girlfriend. We wanted to start on 28 June in San Sebastian and go to Santander.

Due to the fact that its almost main season and we also wanted some privacy, I also booked a few pensions/hotels already, for example:

B&B - Ondarreta Playa in San Sebastian - 28 to 29 June - 2 Person room with own bathroom and breakfast inclusive - 85 Euro
Madarian in Lezama - 03 to 04 July - 2 Person room with own bathroom - 73 Euro

Unfortunately, I had to go to hospital last weekend due to a slipped disc in my spine. Therefore, I cannot go the camino this year.

Most reservations I could cancel. Only the abovementioned two onesare not cancable anymore.

However, I have seen that I can can still change the guests that will stay in the hotels.

Therefore I would like to kindly ask you if anyone could need one or even both of the rooms. Of course you would not have to pay full price. I would say 45 Euro for San Sebastian Hotel and 40 Euro for Lezama Hotel. This is almost have of the price off. I hope, that is fair.

Please write me, if you are interested. Screenshots of the booking I would of course provide,

Best regards, dive

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

First, so sorry about your injury. Now, did you contact the hotels and tell them why you cannot travel? I would expect them to pay attention, especially if you can email them a copy of a medical certificate explaining why you cannot travel. Perhaps I am naive, but if you haven’t tried that, you cannot lose anything by doing so now. Good luck.

Sorry to hear of your bad luck,
It might be hard for someone else to use the bookings without a false passport ;)
Or have the Hotels agreed to change the names on the bookings?

Hi,

thanks a lot for the tip. Unfortunately, I have tried this already. I contacted the hotels directly and explained them but they will not accept cancellation without payment. I also tried to contact booking.com but they said they cannot do anything.

I have the possibility to change the guest names on booking.com. I have made a screenshot. Have a look. So I think this should be possible, no?

Yes, I think that you can easily change the name. For your plan of offering these reservations at a discount you will need to pre-pay for the rooms, because many hotels handle the payment themselves.

Yes, correct, thanks for the tip. The one in San Sebastian is already paid, the other one not, but they have my bank details.. I would arrange for it of course if someone is interested in the room.

Payment via Paypal to me is possible.
