Anyone in Illinois next week?

Train for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island March 16-19
Alas it was not meant to be. When I was in Chicago you were on Camino and it is likely I will be in Dupo in November but that is just south of St. Louis and nearly 3 hours away. I hope you and Chris have a wonderful time.

I thought for sure that "Dupo" was a typo (after all, who would name a town Dupo?), but it's a real place. Depending on weather, a meetup for lunch in Springfield looks like it would be about the halfway point, and I'd be game. The Capitol building is beautiful, Frank Lloyd Wright's Dana Thomas house is beautiful, and then there are all the Lincoln sites, so it wouldn't have to be a totally wasted day! I might even be able to squeeze in a protest to whatever inane legislation my dysfunctional state legislature happens to be considering that day. There just aren't a lot of people who like to talk endlessly about the camino in my part of the world, so I have to go to extreme lengths to find them. :)

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Shy town aug 9. Sorry.

Drats, I'm sure you have collected another round of fantastic stories which would enliven our little GTG. I don't think you live in Chicago, @jerbear, but are you a regular visitor? I keep meaning to go up for some of the APOC hikes, which happen once a month.
No just passin thru. Imay visit this summer/fall. Ill keep you up todate.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
