Another pilgrim killed by a car

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
So sad to hear. That road is right by the Albergue São Teotónio and is fickle to cross. Cars sometimes come with high speed from the nearby highway exit.
 
More sad news. :(

While walking on roads safety rules are vital.

1. Walk on the left side of the road so you can see traffic coming close to you.

2. Walk in single file not side by side.

3. Do not use a phone, watch for traffic.

4. Do not use earbuds, listen for traffic.
 
There is a wide sidewalk and parking on both sides of the road. It must have happened when he crossed.
 
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I walked a few days ago by the road crossing where the accident happened.
I prayed on the site of the accident.
