Ann Sieben- Winter Pilgrim

All during our summer, I have been following a most remarkable winter pilgrim's blog. Ann Sieben has walked to Santiago previously as a pilgrim, and she has also walked to Rome. Her latest pilgrimage was not to Santiago, (so strictly speaking this is a little 'off topic') but instead she was following the paths of St Andrew. She left from Kyiv in the Ukraine mid-November, and she has just arrived in Patras in Greece, having walked a distance of over 4,400km.
Her blog gives a wonderful insight into her pilgrimage, a very solitary one, and one in which she had to trust in the goodness of local people.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I'll second that Margaret. This is a most intriguing blog and brings ones own fears about bed spaces and clear signage etc into perspective. Though I wouldn't have the 'bottle' or physical stamina for the mega winter pilgrimages of this type  I'm filled with admiration for Ann- an inspirational pilgrim and blogger.
