My son, who lives in Cork, has just seen a new Irish film called "The Camino Voyage", a documentary account of four men who ROWED from Dublin to A Coruña. It has been getting rave reviews in Ireland apparently.

I live in the United States and have seen the previews for this movie, but it was unavailable here at the time. My most recent looksie still seems like it is not available yet. A few UKers have sung its praises. I really hope to see it eventually!

Yes, a very moving film. The screening I attended was lucky to have some of the crew and film makers present. They need all the publicity they can get, so shout it out!

It's a wonderful and life-enhancing film - highly recommended!

There's some more information about it here - including a reference to the tragic accident in which a crew member later lost his life.

This is a powerful and wonderful movie. Very moving and chronicles the triumph of a group of Irish men in making their camino by sea. The emotion transcends language. I understand it has reached NY. don't miss it if it is showing anywhere near you!

I had somehow missed the threads @NualaOC mentioned, so am just learning of this amazing voyage now.
Wonderful. Just wonderful. And incredibly poignant.
This little three minute trailer was enough to move me to tears.
If your faith in humanity has slipped, this will set it right.
